Turning bad fortune into new opportunities at SPAC

Cyrcorp Partnership Ltd. (Cyrcorp) would like to announce that it has been awarded the project management contract for the new Stony Plain Alliance Church (SPAC).

On December 18, 2016, SPAC’s family center (approximately 17,000 sf) in Stony Plain was destroyed by a fire.  The existing auditorium, that shared a parking lot with the family center, was not affected by the fire but is not sufficient to meet the needs of the church.  It was determined by the Board that a new lot would be required to house a new facility that would meet the needs of the church for the next 30-50 years.

Upon feedback from the congregation and other stakeholders, it is expected that SPAC’s current needs (for the next 10-15 years) will require a facility that is approximately 30,000 sf in size.  It is also expected that the master plan will include for full development of the site and building of approximately 40,000 sf.

Cyrcorp looks forward to working alongside the SPAC building committee to ensure the new Christ centered community is delivered in a way that exceeds the expectations of the SPAC congregation.

Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2018.
